Hello, I am again writing about my future and the exercise of journalism. This thematic already seems me exhausting and boring. I do not know what I want to do the following week, much less I know what I want to my "future work", but well, work is work. I believe that journalism in our country is a highly precarious field of work where there is no just relation between the work that the journalist does and the money that he earn. Many times, a journalist must do the work of a cameraman, reporter, editor and Community Manager, for reduce the workforce in a mass media. The work schedules of a journalist are also very abusive. Since I entered to study Journalism, I heard teachers and graduates talk about "a journalist never has a fixed work schedule." At first time, that idea of be at the service of the news may seem interesting, but then it is not reflected in the salary received. Yes, there are many journalists in Chile and universities every year incr...

Take a postgraduate course has always been within my options to do in the future. I would like do a postgraduate or degree in economic journalism or political communication. The first one, interests me because I do not know much about that topic. As a journalist, the economy is a theme that always is surrounding us and it is part of our job make “this world” incomprehensible to citizens, easier to understand. However, many journalists do not know about economy or they do not give the job of investigate it, so they end up making mistakes when give some important information to the population. The second topic is an area that I like a lot and I find very interesting. The political world is closely related to the economic sector of a country, so, studying both subjects would be much better for me. I think that it will always be necessary for a healthy society know the relations between politics and businessmen. I also believe that both topics need have a very local context to...

I have always dreamed work in a mass media where the working hours is very flexible. I know that this "dream" is a bit difficult to fulfill but one of the advantages that offer the Journalism is the possibility of create your own mass media without the need to have a big capital. I have never liked to stay in the same place, I am getting bored easily and I end up losing interest in what I am doing. I also do not like the idea of work all day in front of a desk where I just should the follow orders from a superior. That is why I think I do not have a “dream job” totally defined in my head, but I do the work that allows me to do - and finance - all the other things that I will plan do in the future. I would like to create a mass media online with people close to me where I can have the freedom to do other things in parallel to that work. This means that I would like be part of a work team that knows how work when a member fails or cannot make its role within th...

The two weeks that I was in my grandmother's house made me travel to my childhood and feel me so nostalgic. My grandmother lived for a long time in the countryside. “Talcamávida” is a little town located near to Biobío river where the technology had arrived just a few years ago. When my grandmother made ill, she moved to the city for be more near to the hospital and the travel to her old home were less frequent every time. The days when I want to the countywide for months, now, just lived in my mind. But this summer, I had decided go to Talcamávida because my uncles and brother of my grandmother said that the fires had arrived at my grandmother's old house. Fortunately, the fire did not arrive and that improvised trip became in a special holiday. Everything in this house remember me to my childhood. I felt many feelings that I do not identify like happiness or sad...
